Live Life Dream Ad1 Assignment

This is an assignment I did for my Ad 1 class. We took a FAKE AD and had to Fix it by making a completely different Ad from scratch, and use for the most part the same text from the original flyer. Also we had to better convey the intention of the original Ad along with emphasizing the principles of Contrast, Repition, Alignment, Proximity (What our teacher calls C.R.A.P. haha).

So don't call or email the contact, it's not a real Ad.

Playing with turning text in unusual ways for a more modern look. (which seems to be popular now-a-days with Graphic Designers)


My teacher is VERY critical. He's excellent at constructive criticism. I very much appreciate this because we need that kind of feed back to grow as students. When I did my presentation for this Ad, however, he said nothing negative, and only good things, and then followed that it was FANTASTIC. I nearly had a heart attack. haha WTF HE SAID IT WAS FANTASTIC. I was so happy. I didn't expect it at all. So I guess I did good. Of course the previous pictures that lead up to this FINAL piece did get a lot of criticism. It took a lot of work to get this Ad to look like this from what I created originally. He makes us make thumbnails, Roughs, Comps, and then the Final. So I went through many stages and versions to make this. And some of my stuff looked like shit let me tell you.

I do believe I should of used a different font maybe, but otherwise it turned out better than i had anticipated.
